Jazz singer Joanna Strand brings her 'beautiful, pure, and richly melodic voice' (John Etheridge) to original arrangements of jazz and popular standards which she performs in jazz clubs and concert venues all over the world. 

Joanna studied at postgraduate level at The Royal Academy of Music, where she invited to sing with the Royal Academy Big Band.

As an actress and singer, she has walked the boards in numerous West End, Touring and Broadway productions, including two years in Phantom of The Opera (Her Majesty’s Theatre), Master Class ( Broadway transfer at the Vaudeville Theatre, The Strand, and touring with Bath Theatre Royal) South Pacific, (Grange Park Opera), May Night (Garsington Opera) and more.

She enjoys performing at jazz venues across the UK, Europe and the US, regularly appearing at the Crazy Coqs, Pizza Express Dean Street, The Pheasantry, Pizza Express Live Holborn and at Clamores, (Madrid) and Cav du Riv’ (Paris). In New York, she appears at Birdland, Feinsteins, 54 Below, The Algonquin and Metropolitan Room. Joanna has collaborated with award winning singer/ songwriter, Ann Hampton Calloway, and fellow West End cabaret artists Maria Coyne, Jacqui Tate, Luke McCall as part of her Joanna Strand and Friends series.

Her debut album, Fly Transatlantic, was released in 2012 with NMP Records. She has recently released two new singles, C’est Le Printemps and You Must Believe in Spring, and her new Album April in Paris will be released later in 2021.
